Beddy visits… Truckfest in Driffield

Thursday, August 26th, 2010

Hi everyone.

This week I’ve been to Truckfest in Driffield, North Humberside. I had a great fun time with my sister Emily. The event was open all weekend and we had lovely sunny weather throughout.

Lots of goody bags were given out to the children as well as my new snazzy t-shirts! We also held another colouring competition, so keep your eyes peeled on my competitions page for the results!

Beddy visits… Cornwall

Thursday, August 19th, 2010

Last week I took a break from delivering newspapers for Bedfords Transport to visit Cornwall. I’d never been there before because it’s such a long way from my home in Yorkshire. I had to drive for more than 6 hours!

Cornwall is in the South West of England at the very bottom of the country, if I’d driven much further I’d have fallen into the sea!

Lots of people go to Cornwall to do some surfing, which looked like lots of fun. There are also lots of places for tourists to visit, like the Eden Project which looks like a big bubble and is home to lots of plants from around the world.

Beddy visits… Morley Children’s Centre

Friday, August 13th, 2010

This week I went and visited some friends at Morley Children’s Centre in Leeds.

I had a great time! The children enjoyed face painting, cookie decorating and other outdoor activities. I gave out lots of stickers to the children and encouraged them to enter my colouring competition. The winners will be awarded one of my T Shirts and a Hi Vis Vest. So keep an eye out for their entries on my competition page.

Beddy welcomes… Emily

Wednesday, August 11th, 2010

Hello! I’d like to introduce you all to another member of my family…Emily.

She is my younger sister and lives with me and the rest of my family at the Leeds depot of Bedfords Transport.

Look out for her on the roads making deliveries and transporting products across the UK.

Beddy visits… Blackpool

Wednesday, August 4th, 2010

I’ve just got back from visiting Blackpool today. I had a great time with all the children who’d gone to the beach with their families, they were really friendly. I went to visit Blackpool Tower which opened in 1894 and was built to look like the Eiffel Tower in Paris, but it isn’t quite as tall.

There is also a big theme park in Blackpool called Blackpool Pleasure Beach, which had lots of fun rides to go on. The biggest one is called the Pepsi Max, with loads of twists and turns, but I was too scared to go on that one!
