Beddy visits… Cardiff

Wednesday, January 26th, 2011

I went all the way to Cardiff today! Cardiff is a big city which is the capital of Wales.

Wales is a very pretty country with lots of hills and sheep,  and in Cardiff there are lots of things to visit. The Millennium Stadium is a well known venue which was built in 1999, it holds lots of sporting events like the Welsh rugby and lots of music concerts take place there.

Cardiff is also the home of the TV programme Doctor Who. He visits the city lots of times on his journeys in the Tardis. I think the Doctor is a bit like me with all the travelling he does!

Beddy visits… Hadrian’s Wall

Wednesday, January 19th, 2011

Today I was delivering in the North of England with the rest of my family and we drove past Hadrian’s Wall.

When the Romans came to England they built this wall to stop anyone from Scotland invading the country or from coming to live here. It runs all the way from Newcastle in the East, to the Solway Firth which is a river in the West.

Now a lot of the wall has fallen down because it is so old but it is a big tourist attraction and people like to walk from one end to the other.

Hi Everyone!

We all hope you had a lovely Christmas and New Year. Did you have fun?

We were very busy over the Christmas period making lots of deliveries across the country, we only had Christmas Eve off! It was important for us to keep working to make our deliveries for The Daily Mail.

On my deliveries I passed through London on New Years Eve. It was very busy because lots of people were there for the big firework display that happens every year by the London Eye. I have heard the fireworks are very impressive and would love to go one year to see them.
