Beddy visits… The Deep in Hull

Tuesday, April 26th, 2011

This week Lily and I have been to Hull for deliveries. When we were there we went to The Deep which is the only submarium in the world and home to over 3,500 fish.

We learnt a lot about the big blue sea and the creatures that live there – we even saw some divers feed the sharks! We also learnt that litter is harming sea creatures, and that we should look after living things by caring for the environment and recycling our rubbish.

You should go sometime and see all the fish for yourself!

Beddy visits…Exeter

Wednesday, April 20th, 2011

This week Emily and I were out making deliveries for The Daily Mail to a historic town called Exeter, in Devon.

Exeter has a lot of history in the town because it was the most south-westerly Roman fortified settlement in Britain. This means the town has defensive structures such as moats and enclosures built to protect the town in the past from enemies.

The town has a big cathedral which was founded in the 12th century, a long time before you or I was born. This makes the town a popular tourist attraction.

Beddy visits…Legoland

Wednesday, April 13th, 2011

Today on our deliveries for Decorative Panels, Emily and I were travelling through Windsor and we stopped off at Legoland.

Legoland is a popular family attraction to visit. It is a theme park aimed at young children who get to be the heroes in the inspirational world of Legoland. It is based around the well known building blocks called Lego and there are giant Lego models all around the park.

We had a great day and would love to go back again soon!

Beddy visits…Trafalgar Square

Monday, April 11th, 2011

Today, while delivering The Daily Mail newspapers I passed Trafalgar Square in London.

Trafalgar Square is positioned in the heart of London, and is a major tourist attraction. It is one of the most famous squares in the United Kingdom and the world.

At its centre is Nelson’s Column, which is guarded by four lion statues at its base. As well as this, the square is also famous for all of the pigeons that flock there, but I don’t like pigeons much.

There were lots of people sitting in the square enjoying the lovely sunshine we have been having, I wish I could have joined them.
