Beddy Visits… Cutty Sark

Thursday, June 28th, 2012

Today I’m making a delivery in Greenwich. As I was driving into the town centre I saw a beautiful boat on the pier named the Cutty Sark.

The Cutty Sark is the last surviving tea clipper and the fastest and greatest of her time. She stands at an impressive 94 foot long and is beautifully decorated with gold leaf and elaborate carvings.

Visitors can move both aboard and underneath the three-masted sailing ship, visitors can learn about its history in an interactive museum.

The Cutty Sark is truly one in a million and is a great sight to see.

Beddy Visits… LEGOLAND

Thursday, June 21st, 2012

Today I’m off to LEGOLAND with my cousin LinQy, we’ve been given a day off from deliveries.

There are more that 55 interactive rides, live shows, building workshops and LEGO models that we fit into one day.

My favourite part was Miniland. Miniland is a miniature park made from Lego, it has models of towns and cities from all over the world. It also has cars that move and trains that run on real tracks all scaled perfectly to size to fit in with the model surroundings. the attraction is made of just under 40 million Lego bricks.

LinQy’s favourite was the part on Traffic which is themed around transport. Unfortunately he was too big to drive one of the Lego cars around the track but he had lots of fun watching the children learning how to drive.

We both had such a fun day at LEGOLAND and really enjoyed our day off, back to deliveries tomorrow.

Beddy Visits… Hutton-le-Hole

Thursday, June 14th, 2012

Today I was delivering a package to the tranquil village of Hutton-le-Hole on the North Yorkshire Moors.

The sheep are allowed to roam free in Hutton-le-Hole so I had to be very careful when driving, as they were on road, but that’s part of the attraction and charm of the place.

It was a lovely hot day so I decided to take my wheels for a dip in the stream to cool down. Whilst I was having a splash around I noticed lots of boys and girls playing in the water and some were even fishing.

I really enjoyed my day in Hutton-le-Hole, but I’ve got deliveries to make I wonder where ill be next.

Beddy Visits… Buckingham Palace

Wednesday, June 6th, 2012

I was lucky enough to get one of the few tickets for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Concert.

I was greeted with a lovely picnic that was created by celebrity chef Heston Blumenthal, it had five courses including coronation chicken and my favourite pudding Eton mess.

Whilst watching the concert I spotted Prince William and his wife Kate, the Queen turned up late but since it’s her party she’s allowed to be late. There were lots of great singers including Elton John, JLS and Cheryl Cole, but my favourite was Robbie Williams. The Queen looked to be having a great time sat with all her family having a sing a long.

At the end the Queen and Prince Charles took to the stage to make a brilliant speech that made me proud to be British. The Queen then went on to light the National Beacon, which was followed by an amazing fire work display.

I’m so lucky to have been chosen to attend the concert; I will treasure the memories for ever. Long live the Queen.
